Burdock root capsules
Contraindications:
-
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Burdock root is not recommended during pregnancy, as it can stimulate the uterus and may cause premature labor. Its safety during breastfeeding has not been established.
-
Allergies: Burdock root may cause allergic reactions in individuals who are sensitive to plants in the Asteraceae/Compositae family (e.g., ragweed, chrysanthemums, marigolds, daisies).
-
Blood Sugar: Burdock root may lower blood sugar levels. People with diabetes or those taking medications to control blood sugar should monitor their blood glucose levels closely.

Surgery: Since burdock may lower blood sugar levels, it’s recommended to stop using burdock root at least 2 weeks before surgery to prevent blood sugar complications during and after surgery.
-
Electrolyte Imbalance: Burdock root has diuretic properties, meaning it can increase urination. People with kidney issues, dehydration, or electrolyte imbalances should use caution.
-
Bleeding Disorders: Burdock may have blood-thinning properties, so individuals with bleeding disorders or those taking blood-thinning medications should use it cautiously.
-
Medication Interactions: Burdock may interact with diuretics, antidiabetic, and anticoagulant medications, so it's important to consult a healthcare provider before use.
Please be advised: Before making any changes to your diet you should always consult with your doctor, especially if you are pregnant, nursing or have existing conditions.
